Permission problem saving an xml document locally

I'm loading an XML document from a local computer path, modifying it and tryingto save all within IE5. No problem up until the save part. Using source.save("c:\test.xml"),I'm getting a "Permission Denied" error that I cannot nail. The html pageis being opened locally using File|Open. The NTFS permissions are full controlfor everyone. Any help would be appreciated...Regards,Neil
