Acrobat documents are pretty much universal, and with a limited number of versions over the years, whereas there are far too many different versions of Word documents, needing exactly the right version of Word to access it. The Word files are usually a lot bigger as well.<!--content-->Because the original document has been lost and all we have is the PDF. I was just curiosus if there was an easy way to do this. We need to edit the document w/o re-doing the whole thing.<!--content-->Ah, you just have the Acrobat Reader then, do you? You'll need the whole Acrobat program suite if you want to edit or write Acrobat documents natively, or access them. However, if you have completely locked the saved document, then editing it may not be possible at all.<!--content-->
