Pages not search engine friendly?

Hey guys,Ive been informed by an internet marketing specialist here in Australia that many of my pages arent search engine friendly due to the querystring being passed in the URL.Such as "asp?ID="As an example ...http://www.egaragesales.com.au/full_view.asp?id=616Im not sure if this information is correct? Could someone please expand on this? I did notice however that any pages that have the ID tag in the URL do not have a PR?Im looking at changing this so that the pages pass to ..http://www.egaragesales.com.au/full_view.aspBut didnt want to go ahead with this if Ive been fed incorrect information. Also, I noticed (again as suggested by my marketing expert) that when running a "site:www.egaragesales.com.au" within google that all pages that are listed simply as a URL and do not contain a description, have an apparent fault and are not being crawled efficiently. Is this correct? Thanks guys,RJThanks to the evils in this world, most spiders are weary of such pages. Here is a spiffy little journal to help you out.Hi, Its always better to have a static url. If the information is constant then try to use static ones like http://www.yourdomain.com/yourpage.aspx or html .If your page is search based or dynamic then you cant help it, you cannot predict the PR. All left to the spiders.Quote:Quote:yes sessionsI dont understand a word you just said Nicky. UPS guy ...could you elaborate further on this session approach? Thanks,RJDon't worry, many people on here can't understand most of what Nicky says either To be honest, sessions aren't going to help you with search engines. Search engines don't use sessions, so all that information will be stored, yet again, on the URL string As I said on your other post I'm not sure how to do it with IIS (I use Apache, but ATNO/TW might have an idea how you can do this), but forget trying to POST (using forms), forget using GET (that's what you're already doing, parameters on the URL), and forget using Sessions (because search engines don't use them). Thanks Axe.I appreciate the feedback.RJ
