Hey EveryoneWell my website has been on the web for about 2 months now and I just noticed that I have a PR of 1. Is that considered pretty good for the amount of time the site has been running?Been building content and trying to get links and maybe the hard work is starting to pay off. Was hoping to be PR3 by next PR review by google. And since I just got this rank a few days ago I have about 3 months to get busy.-D1-It's a good start darkone. Normally new web sites are left in the google sandbox for a few months at least 3 from my experience. You can keep working on gettting inbound links for good web sites (reputable/well ranked)holyhttp wrote:Sorry to be blunt but I dont think thats good. You can get a PR3 site with just a single link to your site.I could spend 2 hours now making a site and building a few links to it, never touch it again, not spend any money on it and I guarentee it would have PR3 or higher. If I launched a site I would be looking at a minimum of PR4 after 2-3 months, but aiming for a PR5. If you write quality content and promote it (social bookmarking, press releases, emailing news sites and relevant blogs etc) then it is not to hard to acheive, just takes time and effort. Also dont obsess about PR - the important things are how many visitors you are attracting, if your visitors are happy, and if your site is monetizing effectively on those visitors.Just do concentrate on adding good content. You will definitely get results in the next PR update. One thing is for sure, please do not take PR into consideration. Aim at high SERP.LinXHunter, please quit stroking your ego. Your website has a PR of precisely zero. Achieving a PR 4 in a couple of months isn't too easy to do really. Hell, Ozzu has a PR 7 and it's been around for years and has a damn good amount of traffic. For improving PR the best weapon are back links.Get relevent back links from indexed pages of good ranked sites and improve your PR.Directory submission, Article submission, News letter submission, forum posting, blog posting are the popular processes for getting back links and traffic.Otherwise you may go for SEO.everything is ok if content adding and link gatthering is directly proptional to each other. For getting good PR keep updating your site, and gather back links.
