Page loading speed

I guess that the page load speed has some effect on the position in SERP. How much should the average load speed be? (in Webmaster Tools), i have 108. Quote: Originally Posted by paneli i have 108. 108 milliseconds or 108 seconds?

How large is your main website (homepage in KB)?

My blog is ~14kb main page, with 1.19 second load time according to http://www.iwebtool.com/speed_test I do not know, 108 is a readout that reads from Google Webmaster Tools. I tried the link to the test, and it became a result of 1.69 seconds. The site I use most often to give an honest evaluation of my loading times is:
pingdom.com/tools - you should definitely check it out. It is a great resource to show you what is taking too much time and slowing down your loading times.

I have a question that I asked in a previous thread but never got any legitimate responses to:

According to various online speed testing sites, my sites seem to load quite fast. However, according to G's Webmaster tools, my sites are much slower.
(example: In pingdom.com/tools-4.2 seconds and in Webmaster tools-9.6 seconds).

I know results will never vary, but I'm speaking in general terms. Has anybody else noticed this? page loading speed is really one of the factor to consider.. but not sure what average speed should be.. but i guess it depends on the site size.. I get conflicting results too. dWhite's link say my page loads in .68 of a second, when I visit the site with a cleared cache it takes about 3 seconds to load, Google webmaster tools says my site takes 6.5 seconds to load and this tool: http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/ says my page takes 10 seconds to load. I don't think G is penalizing me, but I'm wary of future changes since my site is so script heavy. My blog cargoogler is 0.25 seconds with 96 KB according to iweb website speed test Quote: Originally Posted by paneli I guess that the page load speed has some effect on the position in SERP. It's all in search engine optimization not really matter with the the speed.

According to Google (and probably Bing and Yahoo as well), the speed of your site does matter. This is definitely a determining factor in its algorithm.

Now site speed may not matter that much if your are vying for keywords where there isn't much competition. However, the more the competition the more every little bit matters. So if you are trying to rank for a very competitive keyword or phrase, the speed of your site definitely matters. My website Load Time 0.44 seconds,is it fast? My site 0.5 seconds You rankings will depends on your optimization not your website speed. Do link building and article submission. Hi friend,

Any one suggest, page loading time limit variation.

Time limit for page loading time good or medium or bad....

Thanks for advance...... Do Image optimize and call every data threw CSS and call also java Scripting threw folder and remove white space if you do so your website will be light weight. Hi Friend, 108 is very high and it is not good from user point of view, please discuss with your developer and minimize it..

Thanks,
