seems to me that 'padding' displays differently in ie and firefox. am i missing something - which one is correct
ie puts it inside - firefox puts it outside ( increasing the size of the div )

<body>
<div style = "border:1px solid red; width:300px; height:300px; overflow:hidden; margin:10px; padding:10px">
div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content
div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content div content

</div>
</body>

any thoughts
thanksfirefox is correctly rendering it. IE6 will also render it correctly if you have a good doctypewhich one is correct
When there's a difference, IE is almost always wrong. Check the definition of the box model at the W3C.
