Hey all!
I was interested in starting my own web hosting business with a partner, but we keep coming accross 1 main issue...
TECHNICAL SUPPORT.
We both are great with servers/assistance/ and what not, but we dont have the time to provide support. Hence, I was looking into a few end user suppport companies.
Now, my main concern (i knew you were going to ask what do I need from the company) is to provide telephone support and/or email-ticket responses. If its possible, I'd be more than happy with Live Chat! (but not necessary)
I would like a reputable company that you (preferribly) have used. Please include the company name, link, and if you used them (and if u did - how where they.)
(I was interested in: <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.bobcares.com">www.bobcares.com</a><!-- w --> )
Thank you.What sort of customers are you targeting? If you and your partner are actually able to provide support, just that your time is short, you could indeed outsource support as you mention, but it's also possible that in some cases your customers will be happy with email support during normal hours. For example, if you do design for non-techie customers, they're not going to expect that you answer a ticket, let alone a phone call, in the middle of the night.im not sure what you mean by "customers" but if i think correct -- my main client percentage will be small business & home business people. Every here and there will be a "large" company.
-thnxYes, I meant who your customers will be. Local small businesses may be very satisfied with email support within a few hours, and not at all expect responses at night. Between you and your partner, can you handle that?I'd recommend TouchSupport. If you look for BobCares here you'll find that some people have had some not so good experiences with them.I would suggest taking a look at cliffsupport.comAs a clarification, i've looked through the logs clarified to us that it was my server management team who had done the server administration work. Bobcares had not neglected instructions stating not to do server administration work. The simultaneous incidents of the handover to Bobcares and the server going down had lead to the hasty conclusion. I'd recommend TouchSupport. If you look for BobCares here you'll find that some people have had some not so good experiences with them.
