I'm so confuse to select a keyword for my site, please help me if you can, The problem is that i have chosen two keywords the one keyword from these has 50,000 searches and other has near about 1,00000 searches globally and both keywords have same competition. Now i want to choose a keyword that will give me faster result in google SERP. I know that i have to choose a keyword with high searches to get more profit but i am not thinking about profit here only i want fast result for my keyword. Please let me know what i have to do for this. Hi Autovirginia,

This means that keyword is the word that is entered by the people for their search. So choose such keyword , with which words people's enter words match highly. Then you will get the more result but with that provide the quality content and make your content such that people searched it and then you will get the better serp position. I would use both.......

Working two KWs at one time should not be a problem...... As Fruzzlies suggested you should know if it is a exact match keyword. A global phrase keyword will not show you approximate exact searches. Why do you go with just one keyword. You should target both keywords on your site. If you target both keywords than your site will rank for both keywords on Search Engines. Thus users searching for any of the two keywords will find your site. Thus by targeting both keywords you will get more visitors. Its my opinion.

If you want to target just one than go with high volume keyword as the competition is same. i seen the same question in some other forum as well and here replied there also, use the both keywords for the better result Check about the competition for these keywords. If the competition is too high ranking your keywords in SERP will be a difficult task. If you want just 'fast results' go for keyword with low competition...

Since you are not concerned with any other thing

Okay, on a serious note... Choose keyword with moderate competition and work hard on their optimization... this will give you rankings and considerable traffic as well. For getting a fast entry on google result page, choose less competitive keyword, and work on it. Don't ignore the second keyword also. After sometime you will have to target that keywords also. While trying to pick keywords for websites, do not try limiting yourself to only one or two major keywords because who knows about their status online in the future? Sometimes when your site reaches the top position for a selected term, after weeks and months of hard work, you may find the marketing and advertising status of that term to be very weak compared with the past. You can target dozens of keywords using your website, dedicating several pages to them for better ranks.

If your site has been recently launched and apparently does not hold strong web ranks for any specific terms, attempt to begin with less competitive keywords, the ones which are made up of several words merged with each other to create a sentence or actually a long-tail phrase. Choosing too competitive words which have been already targeted by very big sites, powered by lots of authority links would result in frustration, a long waiting time and weak results even after some months. note the important point - the more popular word - the more people want to optimize it for your site - so much competition on a single keyword.
New site is difficult to break into the top, key words, which are already many strong competitors.
So it is always necessary to choose a middle ground.
