Oracle9i vs DB2

Hi, I'm coding 2 Years PHP with Mysql mostly on small projects. Now I have a bit time and want to expand my skills. I'm going to install and play around with some RDBMS and I have got several questions to for you DB-Professionals.I want to figure out, which the best enterprise RDBMS for Linux is. I've just downloaded and installed 8i Enterprise Edition and I was a bit stunned. After installing the 1,2GB tarball I had stacks of files and dirs and I didn't even get the database running. (Now I'm loading 9i enterprise because I didn't see it while my first oracle.com visit :)) )I think IBM is heading toward the leadership in Enterprise-Application-Server related stuff because you can buy hardware and their App-Servers out of one hand. On the other hand Websphear is a real amazing product - as far as I heard. So I thought I should have a look on DB2 too.Now what do you think about these Products and which one do you prefer? Which has better management tools and a better ergonomy?Ahh, almost forgot: I'm coding for a Free Projct also and remember, that I read either 9i or DB2 is for free using it for non-profit projects - am I right?thx
