I currently use Oracle 8i (R3), PHP (4.0.3pl1) on a Debian GNU/Linux Apache server (Kernel 2.4.2).
My problem is that if I have extended characters (? ?...) in any Oracle table, these characters are retrieved anormally by PHP (other characters are displayed, or the same one without the accent,...), while they are displayed normally with SQL/Plus.
My database server is configured with WE8ISO8859P1 character set, with language parameters set to FRENCH_FRANCE.
My LANG environment value is set to fr_FR.ISO-8859-1.
Any idea about this problem ??
