I want a free / open source geolocation based service to integrate with PHP like something on a dating network, I've looked at the Google API's but I'm not sure what to use and / or whether their services will offer me what I need, is there anyone with knowledge of something like this? If so, any help would be greatly apreciated. I am developing my web app using PHP so it would be a bonus if I could use a PHP API that offer these services, though integration can be done if it's not PHP.
