Open a maximized window

I want to open a new window with sizes given by the screen resolution, but just the asignements width=screen.width, height=screen.height won't do.I need an tip from someone who know how.

And maybe I can open the index document (the first document of a site) in a full screen window (just like pressing F11 in Internet Explorer).
