I am having a strange problem with connecting to a System DSN that points to physical data files that sit on a mapped drive.
odbc_connect fails giving me an S1000 error.
This happens with MS Access and DBase IV files, perhaps more, but there are the file types I am concerned in.
If the files are local on the web server, the scripts work fine, but as soon as I point the web server抯 DSN to an the files located somewhere else on the network (via a mapped drive), the scripts fail.
Is there a work around for this besides creating a nightly routine to copy the latest files over so they are local on the web server?
The problem occurs at the client's, running WinNT 4.0 with Apache 1.3.x, and here at our office running NT4.0 and IIS 4.0.
