Is it possible to increase the number of pages by copy own pages 100 times? Say if I have one index.html for my site. If I copy 100 times name should be some thing copy of index[100].html. google counts as 100 pages or it knows there are identical page?It would know its an identicle page and more than likely ban you from their engine for duplicate content.Google fingerprints every page in the index so it can find duplicate pages (even if they are on different sites). Duplicate pages are automatically dropped from the index so there is no advantage to copying pages. It is better to share content to smaller parts and make more pages Bad idea, like everyone said - you'll get blacklisted for excessive duplicate content. You will be move to sandbox and maybe then remove from google indexgoogle are such bullies. if they were here now i'd punch them on the nose.I heard they like sites that have lots of links that are relevent to your own site.would it be good to do a google for the search term thats associated with your content, save the pages and upload them to your own site?So you have 40 pages of google results, links and keywords on your own domain.would that help or would it make them drop you?it will still make them drop you.same reason - identical contents.unless you seek permission to publish others' contents and on top of that, change formatting of contents.. you can use their contents..To be honest ... copying 40 pages off Google would not be duplicate content ... ranks change constantly so it would be outdated very quickly. In fact it might look like every other link page out there. However, it would only benefit the sites listed on the page from all the one way links. You would have to remove all trademarks, logos, and copyright materials from the listings too. Since you are publishing them without permission.Would it not be easier to get real links related to your site and add long descriptions that use YOUR keywords. That's what I do.... you would be suprised at some of the phrases I rank very well for Am I following this correctly? Are you guys talking about having hundreds of absolute duplicate pages within a website? I could see where Google would index only one of them and leave the rest alone or, perhaps, not index the site at all for doing something so blatantly unnecessary and a nuisance to robots everywhere. However, if you're talking about duplicatiing other web content, with permission, or including duplicate public domain content then that's fine. Google does it by scraping the DMOZ onto their site and, from what I've seen so far, indexes duplicate content of that type like crazy with no adverse repercussions. Include your home page link in your footer and you've got thousands of internal links to it.Will this send your to the top of the SERPS. No. Absolutely not. Most likely, however, you will see a slight increase in traffic and your PR will improve if was originally below five.In the past six months, Google doubled their number of indexed pages, very much due to indexing the same and similar types of duplicate content. Did it really improve your average surfers web experience? Probably not. However, for now, I don't see Google decreasing its ravinous apetite for content. It would be nice if it were all unique, like most blog content but its not like indexed pages are a commodity. I'd say the sky's the limit until it starts sending their customers elsewhere because they feel like they are wading through too much junk.If you can come up with a lot of duplicate content that's pretty unique on the web without stepping on someone's copyright, then you've really got something. Here's a tip. Include a small part of the DMOZ on you site that's highly related to your main content. Google will index those hundreds of relavant pages that all link to your home page and you will see more genuine, targeted traffic from surfers who have a real potential interest in what you've got. The key is use very focused niche content.it would be duplicate content..dont do it.It seems like Google's duplicate content filter seems to be a lot stronger since November 2004.Quote:I don't understand how copying pages from Google would be duplicate content??? Results pages are generated dynamically from Google's database, there is no "existing" page that is being duplicated.Include a small part of the DMOZ on you site.... you can do this legally with DMOZ Quote:Quote:
