Hi guys, I have some noob questions on backlinks and anchor text.
Was wondering, does using "url" or "a href" in backlinks make any difference? Also, why is it that when I do a check on my backlinks, the anchor text do not turn up?
Would be great if anybody could enlighten me. I am not able to understand your question properly..
If you are trying to use anchor text in URL then use
<a href=http://www.v7n.com/forums/seo-forum/"http://www.yoursite.com">Anchor text</a>

Using anchor text in link improve your ranking for that keyword ( used as anchor text) No. It is just BBC code used in Forum and does not make any different. and It is same.
To test, just right click any link in this forum in Chrome and click inspect element, It will show the link in same style i.e. <a href=http://www.v7n.com/forums/seo-forum/>..</a>
or you can also check by source code of page using link ..[] On boards you need ...o the same wherever else you happen to post).
