I wasnt exactly sure on where to ask this, so feel free to move to the appropriate forum, but here goes:

I am trying to run a 'Live Game Server List' php-script from my site to check up on some halflife2-gameservers.

The script gives an error, and according to the script's creator, it might be due to the following:

QUOTE

"For LGSL to work, it must be able to open a connection ( port ) from the webserver to the gameserver.
However some hosts have a firewall to prevent scripts opening connections to anything other than port 80."

So I would like to ask if this indeed might be the case that it's not working, because of this port issue...

many thanks in advance.
From the error, it seems you need a port opened on the server. Please post a ticket to the help desk stating the same, we will check it out. Normally we do not open non-standard ports and so you might also have to check out if any other alternatives are present.
many thanks for your response, no need for desperate measures like that. (I was just asking to see if that might be the problem).
No problemo
