non empty element as choice of (newbie)

hi,i want du declare a nonempty element, that can have only one of a list ofchars as content. for example this chars:, . ! ?the xml document should look like this (the problem is the definition ofconn):....<word>going</word><word>on</word><conn>.</conn><word>next</word><word>sentence</word>...<!ELEMENT conn ("," | "." | ";")>doesn't work. can somebody tell me the correct notation?--mfgCarsten <!-- e --><a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a><!-- e -->
