Hello everyone,
this question is for SEO experts.
We all know that anchor text for links is VERY important when it comes to SEO. Lets say I want to rank high on "Rescue Equipment" as a search keyword, then having other sites link to our site using those 2 words would be very effective.
Now the questions is:
Would using that anchor text on an e-mail newsletter campaign help in any way?
My first thought was "NO". But then I also remembered that Google keeps track of the keywords that sent traffic to your website, not where they are coming from. I know they can not index the newsletter link since it is in an e-mail, but they can still keep track of the keyword that was clicked on.
What are your thoughts on this?

YES, people do click on the link but that is considered as traffic and counts towards your site stats, but it does not add any SEO value.
