I'm PHP newbie and I would like to have news section on my site that looks something like this
Where to start ?
Unless you want to do it manually *grins* I'd suggest having a look at "blogs" through hotscripts.com and doing ga search here. That's the most common way to deliver news. Some are easier than others to integrate into an existing design.
There are so many on hotscripts.com ...
Did you use some of them ?
I'm looking for freeware
My entire site is managed with ExpressionEngine. Of the popular free ones there are wordpress and textpattern - but these are not that easy to integrate with an existing site, although that may have changed, I am a bit behind. There are quite a few others but you want something fairly simple. Unfortunately, sometimes going through hotscripts.com is the best thing to do. =)
Thanks !
I found a really good one (CuteNews) on cutephp.net ...
I agree with Lisa. Hotscripts is a really useful place, and yes it does take awhile to go through them but you can go by the general rule of thumb that popularity generally means that a program's not too shabby and have a look at the popularity ratings to guide your choice.
