News metadata - RDF, RSS, XMLNews-Meta?

We are looking for an XML standard for metadata on news.I've been looking into a few things, and have some examples up and runningusing RSS. Tried XMLNews-Meta, but it seems a bit complicated.Preferably, we'd like to have individual dates for each item, rather thanjust a date for the entire channel. By using the Dublin Core extensionsto RSS this can be done, but does this sound too complicated? Standarizingon a large scale with these plug-in modules seems a bit of a drag if/whenthey change quickly.Any other standards out there people are using that might be easier? Lookingto give another group a proper DTD to validate against before we receivethe data. A nice, listing standard for generic news items.Thanks.- A
