is it true that this type of programming is no longer supported in ASP.net? <% if test = true then %> <html><body>Hello I am supported</body></html> <% end if %> Short answer: False it is supported Long answer: It is supported in asp.net they are called code render blocks. But you gotta remember that code render blocks are not compiled they are interpreted just like asp 3.0. Its best to try to completely stay away from them and use code declaration blocks in asp.net. Try to think more object oriented and use events and databinding to control your application.Thanks, I'll figure something else out but for now I only know code render. I'm learning other methods though. Do you think .net will no longer support code render blocks in the future?If your going to use code render blocks why use .NET? The beauty of .NET is that you dont need render blocks anymore. Might as well use asp 3.0. I strongly recommend picking up a book on .net. Sams teach yourself asp.net in 21 is affordable and good.
