i've just started a new travel site that is specific to Phuket Thailand. I've also set up a travel directory so I can do 3 way link building..
My questions for everyone are:
1 - Is 3 way link building still worth it?
2 - What's the best way to find sites that would be interested in doing 3 way linking
3 - Would you suggest I do anything else? I'm doing article marketing & forum links at the moment.
Stenno What u r doing at present is good enough for getting backlinks nd generating traffic to u r site
3 way linking is a good way that can giv u high PR if not instantly you can try submit an article do 4 way linking:
A>B, C>D yes, 3 way link building is profitable. Find the sites using your keyword in google as keyword+link exchange then send link request to them for 3 way link exchange.
Directory submission and social bookmarking also helps to increase the backlinks and ranking. you are doing well on seo to get quality backlinks.just do the right step, and keep moving..you will have a good page rank soon Okay thanks all, I'll keep moving forward with my 3 way link building 3 way link exchange doesn't work now. Its a little old method and search engines can detect it. I suggest you to do 4 way link exchange or natural link building. And for your second question, there are some websites that help you to find relevant websites to your website and do link exchange with them but i don't recommend them as they are not quality websites. Its better that you find the websites yourself. You can search for your niche on search engines, then find the best relevant and quality websites and contact them for link exchange. so you link from your site A to the link partners site B, then he links back from an other of his site C to your totally different site D I think profile link building gives you perhaps your best return for your time spent. Careful though not to do too much too quickly because your site sometimes drops dramatically in SERPS when you first start building profile style links. Going for social networking sites like twitter, facebook, myspace etc will also boost up the website performance. You can try and add original content once a week and then promote it with Tweets, forum posts etc. Profile creation and web 2.0 content is the best way of doing off-page optimization right now...hence, the old style article syndication, directory submission, etc. are still relevant and of great help.

Stenno I don't think that exchange link 3way is good.
You need to find web sites in Your field Is the linkwheel still work? By using 3-way link exchanges as a means of creating links you are putting your site at risk of being penalised because Google has extensive knowledge. By doing a three way link from sites hosted on different servers a webmaster can build link popularity without the search engine being able to detect the link trading as easily. Going for social networking sites like twitter, facebook, myspace etc will also boost up the website performance.
