is there a way to have vbulletin display the amount of new posts on the nav bar where it says "New Posts" so it would be something like "New Posts (8)"

Thanks guys! I installed it like it said but it isn't working. I'm using vBulletin 3.8. Just uploaded the XML file and set the options. Do I have to add it to the template or something?

Try disabling then enabling the mod and see if it works then.

It is compatible with vB 3.8.x, I am using CYB's Advanced New Posts hack too.

It doesn't work on your forum because of the style you are using. Make a new style (Style Manager > [Add New Style]) and call it 'test'. Now check out that style, you will see that the hack is enabled and is working.

So you have to change your style. Try to insert into your 'navbar' template (of your current style) the same parts of code from the navbar template of the style 'test'.

Sorry for my bad English, I hope you 'll understand what I mean.
