New Googlebot - Test Bot

I found this in my logs yesterday - 4/19/04 and again today:Googlebot/Test (+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html) - crawler17.googlebot.com - 64.68.91.36Googlebot/Test (+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html) - crawler18.googlebot.com - 64.68.91.73Anyone familar with these bots?I've seen them around in my laogs as well, however, I am not sure exactly what they doI've not noticed those yet (but I've not looked real hard through my logs yet), but there have been 264 google bots on my site in the last half an hour - MUCH MUCH higher than usual (Normally when Google's busy on my site, I'm getting around 80-110 page views from Google in a given 30 minute period).Googlebot (Google) 414hits 11.14 MB(for this month) Last visit 21 April 2004 - 03:41 It visits everyday and check if there are new pages added to the site and reads your content ...So far total this month...8762 hits, 310.75Meg.Inktomi, however, is an absolute whore... 28,040 hits, 895Meg so far this month.Looks like you got a good slurpin'Month to date:555 hits Googlebot/2.1+(+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html) 183 hits Googlebot/Test+(+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html) - this was in a two day period.I had over 22K hits by googlebot this month.... yesterday over 800 times.Wow....but you do have a lot of pages on your siteI think it's a lot for regular Real Estate site - I think we have more than 4K but we don't allow to index them by robots.txt. Right now google has 1230 pages indexed.That's a lot of pages
