I have two ways to approach a new font.
It is not used much, so I can make some pictures with the strings in, in the new font. OR I can use put the font on the web site and use it in my style sheets so the visitors Download the font. Problem is of course that the font is 60k. The pictures would be less than this, but the font is MUCH easier to support. Do you guys think that a 60k overhead is acceptable? I worry... "new font" do you mean an unusual font or a specific font required by the client?I mean Morpheus. This is not normally resident on peoples PC's, but I need to use it on the web site. It would be nice to use a ttf file because then I can use it at will - but like I say, I am undecided bacause it is a bit large.Font embedding is not straight forward, IE and Moz. do it differently.
I would go for add the text to an image....In which case, you might want to look at Dynamic Text Replacement (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.alistapart.com/articles/dynatext/">http://www.alistapart.com/articles/dynatext/</a><!-- m -->) from A List Apart.
AdamFont embedding can give you a nightmare, trust me.
was looking through some fonts and have come accross
- Juice ITC
- Perpetua Titling MT
both of these seem to have come with windows, are any of these any good for you because using a standard font will make everything a lot easier.
Otherwise, I can accross this URL which may be helpful
Fonts with Css (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.netmechanic.com/news/vol3/css_no15.htm">http://www.netmechanic.com/news/vol3/css_no15.htm</a><!-- m -->)
