NEVER Use TDNAM.com (GoDaddy) to sell your domain names

I listed a domain with GoDaddy on their TDNAM.com site for 90 days and it finally "sold" for $25,000.

I thought it was great, but was skeptical as the system they have there is amazingly flawed. When someone bids or buys on your domain, there is zero information on that "buyer". No contact info or rating system to see if they have received positive or negative feedback.

There is no way to tell if a buyer is legit - or a 3 year old that might have pushed the "buy" button.

Calling and emailing GoDaddy leaves you in the dark as well. Basically they say once we receive payment, we will contact you. Right... and if we never receive payment?

Well, as I suspected, this was a punk bidder and sure enough they didn't want to pay. So, here is the email I received (robot response, of course):

The buyer of ?????.com is unwilling to fulfill their purchase commitment. Appropriate actions will be taken against the bidder. In the meantime, we have re-activated your original listing on your behalf at no additional cost.

We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have further questions or concerns please contact us.

OH...How nice of them to re-activate my original listing with them! Wow! So then some punk (or the same guy) can do the same thing again.

Bob Parsons: You need to do some major upgrades on TDNAM.com - as it is now it SUCKS!

What can you do to improve it? Here are some ideas:

1. Have a positive/negative feedback system like eBay
2. Make the purchaser legally liable to pay - so sellers WILL get their money!
3. Give more contact info on the prospective buyers

I'm sure there are many other areas where the service can be improved... anyone care to offer additional suggestions?
