I'm currently running IE and have noticed a problem when someone is using Netscape & Netscape Mail as their default. If you go to website (http://www.military-crimes.com/contact_us.htm) and you click on the email address it gives you an error for Netscape Mail users. Why is this? It asks you if you want to send it in Outlook instead.Has more than one person complained about this? I use Mozilla and the mailto: link works fine. I even have Mozilla mail set as the default mail program.

Are you speaking of NS4?

The e-mail program that opens up when clicking e-mail links depends on which program the user has specified to be the default mail program.

If possible, could we get the error message you/these people get, which version of Netscape is running and operating system? What e-mail program is the default email program for the OS?

You might run into your situation if there is no default e-mail program.I've had several Netscape users complain of this. The latest one was using Netscape 7.1 and did have it set as there default. When a Netscape user clicks on the address a screen pops up telling them that Outlook is not there default mail application and asks them if they would like for it to be. Even if they click no, it takes them to a "New Message" in outlook with the address. But they are unable to send the email since Outlook isn't setup.
