Hello all

I am unable to find any resolve on my page. No matter who I talk to or what I do, I just cant figure out why my main page looks so jacked in Netscape. I am about to give up, so once again I turn to the forum for help.

Thanks
1 down 1 to go. Does anyone else using anyother type of browser have any compatability problems, or any ways to fix my problem with netscape?

-Me-looks a lot better in NS4.79 then it use to. what seems to be teh problem?last I viewed it (i am at work)..

the 3 "boxes" on my main page were streched out vertically, and looked nothing like they do in IE. I Think it is the news script. Not really sure what was/is causing it.

-Me-unless you specifiy a width of those tables, NS will only strecth the table as far as teh words go. it will not go all the way if the table is empty, unlike IE. I would make the first box smaller in width and that might clear a few things up. if that is all that is bothering you then I wouldn't worry about it. at least people can view you site is some style and it is not all jumbeled up.Originally posted by Skitz
sorry bout your troubles.
maybe this free utility will help you to see how your page is viewed in other browsers. Goodluck!

what does the page look like in netscape and other browsers that don't accept all the scripts.
find out, without Download ing each brower www.anybrowser.comremove the extra body tag in the page with the news feed:

two body tags on the same page isn't helping anything..

Also, the cell with the NEWS looks like it is set to 100% width? Maybe it should be set to 33%? And the table tag is inside of your inline style sheet, not sure what effect that will have. Move the table tag outside of the style sheet.

Im fed up of sites looking wrong in NN4 and have spent too long trying to sort it out with no luck so im going to install a script that shows up for NN4 telling peeps to get upto date and a link to N6.I agree with that in principal, but in practice I just ignore it. If I can't get a page to look like I want it to in Netscape after a couple of tries, regardless of the version, I don't worry about.

I figure Netscape users must be use to seeing webpages that are not well coded for Netscape and they live with it.
