Hey guys, ok this is the deal. I want to build a website, that has things about trucks, and SUV'S, its mostly gunna be like video's on there. So the site will contain, video's of trucks and SUV's and I'll have forums for it to. And there'll be some info on some things. I need help. With layout, if I should use a template, or what. I dunno what to do as of now, I just need some idea's to put on there suggestions on how to go about and lay it all out. I was thinkin a simple background, and what not. But I'm lost, I want to make it so people would like to sponsor the site, so I need to make it professional lookin. I do have the skills to do it, I know know HTML though, but I just need the idea's to get started, Anyone up for it please?
-MIkeOne idea might be to look at some of the current truck sites, Ford (http://www.ford.com), Dodge (http://www.dodge.com), GMC (http://www.gmc.com) and see what they're doing. View>Page Source will give you some idea of how to set things up.
You'll have to be careful with the video files, though. Those can eat up space very quickly, not to mention add serious time to a page load.
Oh, and with all due respect, you'll want to brush up on your language skills. Or have someone else write your text content.
Good luck!
