Well my previous host shut me down and now I have a new host. Unfortunately...when I was shut down, I didnt get the chance to back up the files on the server. I only have a database backup. So now I want to restore the db without the mods tables. So my question is if I restore certain tables like posts and threads and permissions, can I get back my forum with the threads and stuff I lost? if i can, i will somehow install all the mods over again. Right now i have tried three times and all i get is a blank page whenever i go to the index of my forum. any help and guidance to solve my problem will be greatly appreciated. thank you.

You should restore the backup, get the system stable and move forward from there. Not sure what you mean about getting certain tables back?

hello could u please guide me? Should i install a new installation of vb on the new server? If so when i install the new vbulletin on the new server should i add the same administrator name? and pass? As i have a backup with the mods, and as i dont have the mod files to upload...it gives me errors when i try to open any page of my forum. please, if anyone can guide me on moving from prev server to another server, that would be praised.

step 1: what version of vb u had? upload those vbfile in ur ftp
step1.1x == go to your config.php file edit the database info then in the end of the file add this line
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

step2: delete install.php form the install folder
step3: use google and download bigdump.php and upload it to ur root directory then and edit the database info ( db_user Db_name dbuser_pw locathost_your server) in it and uplaod ur db.sql file in you root
step4: go to www.ursite.com/bigdump.php << scroll down and find the urdb.sql file and click on import.
step5: after complete delete the bigdump file and ur database
step6: go to products and manager and uninstall all the products u have installed!
step7: go bk and open config.php and remove the

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
LINE and save
step8: enjoy ur forum

its better if you don't use keygen on... use without keygen vb3.8.2 there are few in here that are nulled and don't require keygen.

its up to you to use a key one or without key i was making ur life easy lol

lets say if you r using nulled keygen one you would need to actually install it and
then empty your database and use the bigdump to uplaod your old database

this is how it works i will explain

you had old site that was using vb 3.8.2 right you have every thing installed and your database was fine

now you lost everything and you only have database left

so all you need is the vb 3.8.2 files in your ftp and uplaod your database and disable the mods in config.php i posted how to do it and your site will be backup again
then u can uninstall your mods from acp.

now lets say if you are using a keygen vb 3.8.2 you would need to patch the files using keygen.php file for your key to work not only that u have to install vb again this is extra work for u.

so better option is use the one thats nulled without key it makes ur life easy :D
