Need help with SEO thingy

When a visitors profile is visited, and then some one presses on the "ContacInfo" .. it shows his link as http://example.com/member.php?u=12 .. how to i change it so it says http://example.com/carlman.html

i have vBSEO 3.1 installed

did you edit the .htaccess the your url? instead of yoursite.com
