Need Help using OCX with asp.net

Can any one provide assistance in how to properly use a third party OCX thru asp.net or vb.net? .Net does generate a "wrapper" for the ocx, but when placed on my page the object comes in as a static HTML onject, and I can find no way to set its properties or evoke its methods from my vb code. The OCX in question is sigplus.ocx from Topaz Systems and is used to drive an LCD signature pad. Oh yes, .NET seems to have no problem handling this ocx in a desktop application (works fine), but of course that is not what I need. Any help, sample code or suggestions appreciated. Thanks
