Dear Sirs,Can someone please Advice me, How can i get much traffic to my Website (http://goldtradin.blogspot.com)Its really hard to get traffic. Can you please give some tipsYeah, Make a really good site. Good sites always get lot's of traffic. There are no tricks no getting traffic, The only way to do it is make a site people like visiting.Hye Sir,Did you visit my Website: http://goldtrading.blogspot.comHow did you like it ?Advicememan wrote:I don't know anything about trading gold, so i don't know if it's good or not.. You could be making it up for all i know.Ask yourself though, Would you bookmark that blog?If you can honestly answer yes, Then you are on the right track. If your answer is no, Think about what would make you boookmark it and do it.There is no secret to getting traffiic besides giving people what they want.If they like it they will 1) tell thier friends about it and 2) keep coming back.3 weeks ago i started two blogs, I promoted them in the same way and they are getting very different amounts of traffic, So it's nothing to do with submiting to directories, writing articles or anythiung like tham, It's completelly down to the content of the blog.I visited the site - instantly closed it as there was too much advertising, pop-unders just got very irritating so never bothered looking to see if there was any content worth reading.I detest pop-ups and pop-unders and generally never visit sites that contain them. I am not alone in this... and why hide the content behind mountains of ads? It defeats the purpose of why the content is there if your hiding it below the fold line ... as all people will see is ads and close the browser or surf to the next blog.To get traffic to your site, optimize your site properly. Update content regularly, add fresh content in your site, use targeted keywords in your content, and submit your site in directories. All these points will help you in getting more traffic to your site. Also, place your banner on relevant site; this will also help in getting traffic to your site. There are tons of articles on the internet on how to bring traffic to your website. It takes a lot of hard work and a bit of luck.Link exchange, submitting your site to directories, submitting articles that mention your website, optimizing your website for your keywords, and the list goes on.I have learnt that there is no magic way to bring traffic to your sites.evisionowais...did you remove the advertising? I don't see any. It looks like good content to me. I used to work in the World Trade Center on the commodities exchange way back in the 80's. I was a runner in the gold, silver and copper pits!I find your blog very interesting and it brings back some great memories. That place can go insane when a news break hits the big board and everybody freaks out But from an SEO stand point you need lots of work on the site.here's some on site stuff to try.1. Add to your title tag the words "Gold Trading"2. Drop a few targeted terms into you copy. IE How to trade gold.3. Add more key words to the titles of your articles....like this one "Rationale for a winning trade " ...this would benefit from adding the word gold..."Rationale for a winning gold trade "4. Link in-line in your current articles to past articles...again use those key phrases.Do you have any control over the code? An external CSS file would make the page's code easier for the search engines to find the content.Once you get the on page stuff down then start working links for other sites. Stick with sites or better yet pages that deal with finance related topics...they don't have to be about trading but should deal with some topic about finance.Run a search for "gold trading" on google and find the top sites for that term. Then go to msn or yahoo and run a link:www.theirsite.com search and see where they are getting links from. Chances are those are good link partners for you too.I have a bunch of real estate investment sites that I will post some links back to your blog from All I ask is that you play by the rules of the search engines...which it appears that you are doing.Keep reading this forum...everything you need to know is in here some where....don't be afraid to ask questions!enjoyI revisted the site, it looks and feels a lot better than before. There is no harm in some advertising, but I am sure glad that the page wasn't filled with advertising. If you are planning to generate some income via advertising then you should aim for 1 block of advertising per page ( or at the very most 3 blocks - but also the ad placement should not interfere with the content, but rather compliment it... an idea could be 1 piece of advertising below the left navigation , 1 piece at the bottom of the content, 1 piece embedded into the content either at the top of it or after the first paragraph etc). The main thing is not to put in excessive advertising otherwise it interferes with site layout + actually gets in the way of the content. According to the post above your on the right track and now you just have to optimise the on-page factors... dropping in keywords into the content, internal linking and other such things.Good luck in optimising the site.
