Need feedback on PressCat.com - not appraisals

I recently registered www.BandEPKs.com and www.eMediaKits.com, where I'll initially just be using them to host media kits and band press kits that I put together for clients. Eventually though, I'm planning to convert them into self-service media kit / epk sites and opening them publicly. As a part of that, I wanted to offer media directory / media list services for contacts. So I just chose www.PressCat.com. Any thoughts on it?

I wanted mediacat.com, but it's not available, so this was the next best thing. I chose 'cat' for a variety of reasons:

1. It's a synonym for 'dig', which is essentially what people do with media contact databases.

2. It's short for 'categories', and the media contacts will be broken down and organized in that way.

3. I think it lends itself to a potentially cute logo / site mascot sort of thing.

Does it suck?

While I'm just getting this collection started, the ultimate plan is to grow this into a little hub/network of sites including the two media kit ones, press contacts, and a press release distribution site, in addition to my PR firm. I'm sure it'll be a slow process, but the networking idea has worked well at bringing relevant traffic to my indie music sites, so I figure it's worth a go.

Any thoughts on the topic area in general? Do you think there's a need? I know all about the major media contact directories, but I'd like this one to have a limited free service and then a less expensive paid service at some point, and as for the newswire site, I see the faults in all of them so regularly that I simply know I can come up with a better method... and I'll probably be asking for a lot of feedback from people here along the way when I'm ready for that one, to make sure I don't miss any wanted/needed features or make the same mistakes others have made. OK. I'm sorry. I'm rambling....
