My forum was located on elemanyak.com domain. But The web site was shut down about some mp3 problems in a few days. It had PR 4 and the site had got lots of hits from google and other search engines. But we had to located it on elemanyak.net . Now, we are on elemanyak.net and it has 0 PR. We need to ugrade it and we need some backlink from PR 4 or higher sites. Can someone help me? Thanks alot...I see that you change from .com to .net. You have to start over again. What ever you did to get that PR 4 for the .com domain. You have to do it for the .net one.PR dont mean a thing. If you are still getting the same guest then you are okay. As long as your guest can find you.You will build your Pr back in no time.Thats my opinion.Hi there,Fergie is abolutely correct. If you are getting the same guest then its good for you. There is no need to run after getting PR 4 for that. You can get PR soon.Have you tried other types of submission ? i think you know what i am talking about.Puneet ThakkarA 301 permanent redirect from the old .com site would help immensely here.elemanyak.com one has about 8000+ unique visitors per day. but .net one has just 800+ unique visitors... it's a problem for PR and backlink...quantumcloud wrote:http://www.webconfs.com/how-to-redirect-a-webpage.phphttp://www.internetbasedmoms.com/seo/301-redirect.htmlOrhttp://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=301+redirectIt is just a matter of time before you receive higher PR since your link structure and website and everything is same. Only issue is that Google also gives higher rating to the 'history' of a website, which might be different for .net website."link structure and website and everything is same" has no effect on the PR. The 301 redirect is indispensable to transfer the trust rank and PR both to the new .net site.Quantumcloud is right. Please create 301 redirect page for your site. Then you can get.NiceColdFusion Redirect<.cfheader statuscode="301" statustext="Moved permanently"><.cfheader name="Location" value="http://www.new-url.com">PHP Redirect<?Header( "HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently" );Header( "Location: http://www.new-url.com" );?>ASP Redirect<%@ Language=VBScript %><%Response.Status="301 Moved Permanently";Response.AddHeader("Location","http://www.new-url.com/");%>ASP .NET Redirect<script runat="server">private void Page_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e){Response.Status = "301 Moved Permanently";Response.AddHeader("Location","http://www.new-url.com");}</script>JSP (Java) Redirect<%response.setStatus(301);response.setHeader( "Location", "http://www.new-url.com/" );response.setHeader( "Connection", "close" );%>CGI PERL Redirect$q = new CGI;print $q->redirect("http://www.new-url.com/");Ruby on Rails Redirectdef old_actionheaders["Status"] = "301 Moved Permanently"redirect_to "http://www.new-url.com/"endhttp://drgooglefinds.com/ http://filegunner.net/ http://picturevine.com/ http://www.devverse.com/ http://wedding-adviser.com/I have my site PR 3 /link buidling again .. thast the only solution
