Hi everyone,
due to a crashed harddisk and some paranoia on my side I want to shutdown the mysqld on our server to be able to create a backup. After that I'd rebuild the RAID.
Now mysqld complains that it can not find it's mysql.sock and thus all attempts to connect that sucker fail miserably.
Any experiences on data integrity for the case of "killall -TERM mysqld"? Other suggestions?
Thx in advance,
Dominique
