I am no professional at this--all though I am getting more familiar with it.
I am currently loading large amounts of data into my database with a LOAD FILE INTO statement. I Load and delete once a day. The load is working great and very quickly at that(thousands of files). I am able to use the data, sort the data and more, all with pretty good speed. Unfortunately I just got a notice from my Server administrators that what ever I am doing is to intensive and it is causing a lot of down time in other areas of my server. Does anyone know why this might be happening? What can I do to help the situation?
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Cynthia Hill
