when the MySQL host is specified as localhost i get this eror when trying to connect to the server 'MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (13)'i tried changing the hostname to the machines acutal name this causes me to get an access denied error, this only happens when trying to connect through php, using the same username and password i can successfully connect from Microsoft Access via MyODBC???
