My site just dropped completely off the radar!

In catergory of my website, I had been in #1 on Google,
# 5 on Yahoo, and # 7 on MSN for a month and a half. To get there, I listed with directories, paid adds, links, Facebook, twitter, and you know the routine. Two days ago my web site dropped off the radar and is nowhere in anyones ranking. The only thing that changed from as near as I can figure, is my web host had recommended resubmitting to search engines every 45 days. The host autosubmitted on Thursday. I feel I have lost my investment and that I will have to start over...unless anyone has any ideas to help me recoup the situation
and is autosubmit a bad idea based on this. Auto submission is not recommended if you want to have quality links for your site. If most of your links are made from auto submission then that could get your site penalized by search engines. You also have to check the sites where you submitted your website because any site that has black hat tricks and sites that is banned from SE's could hurt your websites reputation and keyword rankings. And another thing, make sure that your website is clean, meaning no black hat tricks that would make your website get banned from search engines. Hi, devonshire

I think your site might be put in sandbox now. Search engine submission is not necessary these days, IMO. If you want, once submission would be enough.

Keeping on building quality backlinks from decent sources on your niches would be really helpful for releasing from sandbox early, IMO.

Have a nice day, Right. Search engine submission is not recommended. Instead focus on building quality links from other websites thru blog comment posting, social bookmarking, forum posting, etc. It has happened to me as well with some of my sites, they just disappear for a few days for no apparent reason and then they come back sometimes stronger sometimes not.

Do not really know way it happens. As said, just keep working on your seo and it should pop back up there hopefully. maybe you should limit your paid ads... google might see that you are doing that. There is nothing you can do except keep working on your SEO and if you still see no improvement try requesting for a site reconsideration. First you need to update your site, create a quality and fresh contents and sad to say but you need to go back from the start. I do not think you need to start from the beginning, you just need to keep improving what you have already done. it depends on his actions,if his site has totally goes down because of some violations, then he needs to update his site with unique contents and optimized it again to be crawl. Well I suppose you are right, If he has done some major violations I would agree it is best to maybe start from the beginning.
