So i needed help and management for the issue my proxy server was having, and i decided to go with Jeff's theserverdoctor.com , and have to say it was not pleasant at all . I feel bad that i have to bad mouth anyone but you gotta do what you gotta do to warn others of possible wrong choices !!
Average Response time to Tickets : 12 - 14 hrs +
Average Resolution Time : Add 30 to 2 hrs to above average response time
Average friendliness : Poor (i get told to not to contact jeff via msn as its not for support, but do note i submit high priority tickets first before contacting, so i am guessing they do not get notifications at all that a ticket is submitted already or do not take a look at those notification in due time).But anyways i have not seen anyone telling you to stop contacting them via msn for support all the time !! Its rude !! They can simply say we will look at it , so please submit ticket if you have not !!. Not say "Do not contact us for support on msn" all the time !! Bunny was hurt !!:blush:
Knowledge : Dunno am mixed about it here, asked them to install iftop for me , response was they couldnt and were waiting for some libraries or something. Got management from dedicatedplace.com and they installed it in just few hours.. So did libraries magically appear ?
Not a pleasant experience i had theserverdoctor.com , and would recommend users to stay from them if they wish to get their important issues resolved quickly enough. But if you can wait for 12 - 14 hrs for even before someone can look at your ticket feel free to use them !!
Do note i had to move my older server to newer server , and i asked them to setup the machine asap (meaning secure it and what not) by 14 as thats when my old machine was to disappear, new server details were provided on 10 or 11th morning, and nothing was done till 13th (so u get the idea of how quick their responses are), and only on 15 i think that when i insisted to secure the server, only CSF firewall was installed (do note server had no firewall for 2 operating day !!!). No other security patches were installed (that i know of or was told of)
So overall pretty sucky service this bunny received from them.
Do note my new machine has DA and Centos OS 64 bit on it.

In TSD's defense, I tried explaining to Bunny that we needed tickets in MSN to document the need for us to connect to the box. We do not like connecting to the box unless we have a documented need. Bunny kept saying things we not right, like certain locations of SiteUptime could not connect to his web server.
At the same time, by messaging me, who is in and out all day long, no one else is going to see that he is having problems if he is just messaging me. I attempted to explain the problem with messaging me multiple times, but he just did not get it.
With the long setup time, we had to install custom modules for him to further monitor bandwidth on his server, which requires proper setup of them. He was also given other security software such as RootKit software and etc, which comes standard with the security install, but is not mentioned directly to being installed as it is standard.
As far as the iftop situation, I wasn’t familiar with the library needed and I had to research it.
To be honest, I would not recommend anyone take on this customer. He is extremely demanding and hard to deal with, he fails to submit tickets on issues, but insists in contacting only one person about the issue, so that no one else can see the issue unless that person is at his computer all day long.To be honest, I would not recommend anyone take on this customer.
