Hi guys let me know how can i up my pr thats currently "0".. just help me out ! PageRank is not an overly important factor. It is a number, and only a number. Websites with high PageRank generally rank well in the search engines - but that's not due to the fact that they have PageRank, that's because they are usually authoritative (because of what determines PageRank).

If I haven't already talked you into losing interest in raising your PageRank, you can do so by receiving linkbacks from other, high PageRank websites. The more outbound links that they have, the less link juice you will get. In other words, get linkbuilding - don't worry about the PageRank of the sites you are getting links from, you'll need as many as you can get. i dont get the point please clear it to me ........ also add [email protected] Two ways of getting PR 1 is to make comments with your site link on blogs and make as many post as you can everyday with your own signature site link in web forums having large number of users and visitors. If you are very keen of increasing your PR, then concentrate on getting high PR backlinks. That's the only solution. You need to generate some backlinks from sites that have higher PR than yours. There is a cool Firefox tool that I believe is called NoDoFollow. This will enable you to see the PR of each site you visit. Rumor has it there was another PR update recently, so your website may have not met the required criteria to obtain a higher PR than 0. Keep up your linking building, getting relevant and high value links will help you obtain a higher PR on the next update. Create backlinks like forum posting, blog commenting, directory submissions, social bookmarking, and social media. This will take time to work out, but this will have a great impact on your website because if you do this methods very well I assure it that your website's page rank will increase. Don't waste your time with PR

Higher PR mean's nothing not higher traffic or higher rankings
Build your site seo friendly
With original content
And build links
SEO is the key PR is all about quality backlinks. But I strongly agree with charles. Some people get so obsess with PR simply because they thought that getting a high PR means SUCCESS!!! It contributes a bit on your serp ranking but JUST A BIT.. There are even sites who doesn't have PR but ended up getting on the top spot on google..

Anyway, the bottom line is, its okay to check your pr but just don't get yourself too obsess about it. Get your site seo'd properly and constantly then you'll do fine. It sounds easy but believe me IT'S NOT =) Quote: Originally Posted by lxh PR is all about quality backlinks. But I strongly agree with charles. Based on previous patterns, they tend to run one around every 3 months. Quote: Originally Posted by Charles S PageRank is not an overly important factor. It is a number, and only a number. IMO the only reason PR is worth thinking about is that when you sell a site it seems to increase the value of the site - in many buyer's eyes! @ icebreaker. Actually the symbol of -PR1 is an error with Google's data center and not a representation of your actual PR. You should look into this but it should eventually sort itself out. While doing the backlink process try to get backlinks from high PR websites. Don't loose sleep over PR. I'm ranking for 75% of the keywords on my hit list and I have a PR1. Don't loose sleep over PR. General speaking, quality backlinks from authority sites like high PR sites or even higher PR sites would help in your PR and of course, fresh original contents would help you, too. Try to have quality and relevant back links to your site which will be needy things to get higher rank.
