Well in the last few days i have read and read and read, forums, blogs and articles all on SEO. Have i learnt something, well yes, so much that my brain feels its reached overload and now seams incapable of making any decisions about my SEO campaign
The more i read the more i realise that everyone has there own take on the best way to go about it. I have come to the conclusion i need to get quality links, more relevant link words, deeper inbound links but its left me bewildered as how to get them.
Masquerade masks are such a niche market that you cant easily find relevant sites and forums to join and link to. Most of the sites and blogs that would be suitable are my competition so hardly likely to help.
Maybe the fog will clear, everyone here is very helpful but my is the learning curve steep. Oh and is this just me or do other newbies get totally befuddled by it all I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to SEO, so don't feel alone...

Masquerade masks probably present a broader competition than I am used to.
Mine is VERY local.

You could check out some small business forums, or better yet... keep on posting here.
There's a great group of people here! hi, yea I have found everyone very helpful but am i the only Britt on here? You have been making progress so fast because understanding the trends in the vast SEO world is like a victory. Guess how people are feeling, the folks who have been studying confusing articles and so many books about web optimization published since the year two thousand, I guess they feel like getting exploded all the time and on a daily basis.

I really do not know a lot about masks niches but why are you going to do everything all by yourself anyway? Learning how SEO and link building methods work is very cool but since you have just begun getting familiar with the concepts, you may have better experienced via contacting a UK based reputable SEO firm that will build links for you too. aaah all comes down to mney! I had a very successful business online, page one for all major searches, then the crunch hit as i chose to expand...back to square one, dust down and rebuild. Hence at the moment i am we builder, SEO not expert, packer< customer service etc etc lol You may have already discovered these threads, but I will post them here just in case.

Honestly, what you've written that I've quoted, you're well on your way. Just start practicing some of it. Stop letting the fear paralyze you. If you follow, even one to two things at a time, that you've already learned from the incredible people here, over time, you'll make progress. But you'll get nowhere if you keep worrying. You know already what not to do, what things could trigger spam filters, etc. So get off yer duff and start doing, at least one thing. Don't obsess, just do what you learned, and do it a bit at a time. You'll be fine. Nobody here told you anything that's going to get you booted or banned

EDIT
If nothing else, start on your internal pages for now, then move outward. Had a good sleep and woke up feeling more focused, less panicky. today i shall write out a strategy of how to implement some of what i have already learnt from here (moneyonline im reading your blog, cricket the threads did help) First a cup of tea though, thanks all x In addition to the advice given out so far. Check out the V7N blog for some tips or just to read what Cricket writes about.

I was going to mention the 2 links Cricket already posted for advice. Me, i just take my good old time and try not to fry my brain thinking about stuff. There is plenty of time to learn new things and to test out some idea's so never rush things because it will not bring in good results when rushing into something. You will get a lions part of information from v7n. Best of luck !! I'm currently working on a book. Good threads to follow here
