my forum was hacked

I'm new with vbulletin, and was testing it, I downloaded a vbulletin 3.72 scripts from another place and a vbseo, install some products, that was a week ago, and now, forum was gone it say was a "" error, start check files via FTP and found some html files with porn places in there, my question is how can I be sure with files are sure for download, for install, vbulletin and vbseo and in case it happen again what is the best way to preserve data for reuse again

you can change the name of your admincp and modcp directories somthing like diradmincp and dirmodcp, make sure you do the necessary changes in your config file as well, and also password them via your host
