I've just started using mod_rewrite. My question is: should I rewrite with slashes (e.g. domain.com/articles/articlename/page-1) or with a "-" (e.g. domain.com/articles-articlename-page-1)What is the diference between the two (SEO wise)? If I add slashes, then all the links would have to be absolute which would increase the page size. I think this would be the downside, but it looks more tidy with slashes. What do you think?I think search engines (well, google) remove _ and / completely when parsering URLs.So search/engine_optimisation will become searchengineoptimisation when google looks at it (keyword wise). But they replace - with a space.so search-engine-optimisation will become search engine optimisation.Hmm, thanks.Do I need an extension in the url? And what extension should I use?You wouldn't need one. I doubt there would be any different seo wise.
