Misspelled domain names

Hello,

I read an interesting article the other day about a guy who makes a killing off his domain inventory by just parking them. He also owned a number of common misspelled domains.

I was curious if anyone here had/has any success with parking misspelled domains? Or is it better to develop something for them and try to take advantage of search misspellings instead of direct type-in misspellings?

I recently invested in a few for the heck of it and can't decide what direction to take.
