I've got a new site. I wrote all the code to keep track of the users using sessions, then joined this forum and discovered that sessions are bad for googlebot so I had an idea...I want to set up an index page with a site map to all the pages that I want indexed with static links. Then set up the meta refresh to redirect users through a filter that attaches a session and into the main site.So my question with this theory is: Will the googlebot follow the redirect? This is what my meta refresh looks like: <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=http://www.magnoliabyowner.com/jsp/Home.jsp">Or if someone has a better suggestion, I'm all ears.That will mean cetain death for your web site. The meta redirect is viewed as spam by google. It will drop the page that has the redirect on it. You would be better off with a mod rewite to handle the dynamic url's...
