PAYPAL IS DEAD

No longer do internet marketers have to use services like Paypal to get paid for software and ebook downloads. Their customers can now just enter their country, their mobile phone number at a website, the phone carrier then guarantees payment to the marketer.

This service is going to revolutionize the internet marketing industry by making it possible for customers to preserve some anonymity and not have to give up their personal details, credit card number or pay by services such as Paypal.

This new mobile phone payment service makes Paypal and other payment gateways - including expensive merchant accounts - redundant.

Marketers get paid to their bank accounts after 60 days by wire transfer to anywhere in the world - all the fees for this are free. No more waiting for checks from other countries and the time consuming wait for a marketers bank to clear the funds.

This service is worldwide with some 100 mobile phone carriers joining the scheme and more joining soon. Carriers see the benefits in joining this scheme - because the end result is a premium rate phone call to the customers mobile phone bill - thus all carriers in this scheme will see a rise in revenues - all costs are usually paid for by the customer, although some marketers are prepared to bear the costs if it is worth it for them to do so.

Recurring billing can be set up for membership sites until the customer stops them and leaves the membership.

The carriers have decided that the only goods they will be allowed to be paid for by mobile phone bills are software downloads, and membership payments to clubs, associations or membership sites.

NO physical goods are allowed to be sold under this scheme. This policy may change in the future as the scheme matures and carriers can see where it is headed.

There is a monthly cap - which differs from continent to continent - in the USA it is no more than $100 per month for each mobile phone customer that can be billed to their account - in the UK and Europe it is anywhere up to the equivalent of $400 a month.

This scheme was started from the UK and has mushroomed to a worldwide scheme - with - it is estimated - to be 500 carriers coming on board by the end of 2008.

For a long time internet marketers wishing to enter the teen market - 13 to 17 year olds - had no way of getting paid by their young customers. No longer is this the case, most teens have mobile phones and they use them a lot. They may not have credit cards or be a member of Paypal, but now they can pay for music downloads, ring tones, wallpapers, memberships to various websites and other organizations. The teen market is worth billions of dollars worldwide and now marketers can see how they will get paid.

All marketers are guaranteed payment even if the mobile phone customer does not pay their bill to the carrier. Carriers have decided that there will be no refunds on transactions - if a customer is not happy with their purchase, they must take it up with the marketer, carriers will not enter any dispute.

Follow up by SMS text messages will be available to contact buyers to offer further products or to ask them to join a list for further offers in the future.

Those marketers who have asked for an alternative to Paypal - have just found it.
