Im currently looking around to implement a backup solution for my servers because im tired of when things go wrong I spend hours fixing things because the standard Cpanel backup is very unreliable.
I have multiple servers / accounts that I would like to backup including: Database Server, Web Server & Media Servers.
I have a couple of RSYNC Accounts But I will be honest and say that I dont really know how to have these setup correctly, I know how to move data to and from but anything more than that is a blur.
I want something that will backup my servers daily even if its onsite daily and remote backup atleast per week but my sites change so much day to day that even 1 days data loss is a big set back.
I have heard of something called R1soft.. But I have no clue about what It can / cant do and how it works?
Is this a good solution?
Now to Managed Backups..? I would be intrested in offers regarding managed backups, including what you do / dont do, how much data and which data you backup, how often and the space / cost.
I would also be intrested in hearing other methods you may use and find work for you with large sites / data.
I want something in place that I dont need to worry about and if something was to happen to the data that it can be restored easily.
Look forward to your replys.
Regards

The company supports their software very well.
Thank you.AFFORDABLE, $600.00 then $75.00 per agent...Am I right in saying that it costs $600 for the software... which you then load onto your backup server?
then pay $75.. per server you backup to that server?
or am i totally back to front here?Am I right in saying that it costs $600 for the software... which you then load onto your backup server?

There are a few providers that offer R1Soft Services, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative than buying it outright.
The pricing is $600 for the R1Soft CDP Server, which you load onto a separate dedicated machine (Which includes 1 Server Agent). The the cost is $75 per additional server that you wish to backup.
If you look at the R1Soft CDP Product versus something like rsync, then you will see a huge difference. R1Soft might be a little bit more expensive to deploy, but when a server of yours goes down the R1Soft Product will defiantly shine.Yes, R1soft.com has more details.

I have a R1Soft server, i signed up when i still was on a per GB price leased license.
I also signed for an account with Bqinternet.com but i had to RSync data and i was not ready for it. Where did you hear they offer a hosted BQinternet offers a hosted R1Soft solution? If so I need a second server for backups, is it included in the normal prices they have? The website doesnt say anything about it and they still have the old prices and plans like the last time i checked.Where did you hear they offer a hosted BQinternet offers a hosted R1Soft solution?
We don't publically advertise the service, but it is available on request. We charge a monthly fee that covers the R1Soft licensing and backup space. Yes, that is extremely cheap compared to what the product does, and compared to alternatives which do the same thing (not a lot less, but the same or better).
Thank you.We have used all of them, and the only way that I would go and the way that we go is with R1Soft. You have no clue how good this software is until the unfortunate need of using it.We have used all of them, and the only way that I would go and the way that we go is with R1Soft. I have to totally agree. We purchased the software and agents back in October and I have to say it was the best spent money when it comes to backing up our servers. RSYNC does not even compare. Not only does it do incremental backups with I believe up to 100 restore points, but it also handles MySQL backups at the granular level. I already had quite a few clients restore some of their files and they absolutely love it.
