Make an external website , based on vb database

hi all ,
i wan't to make external login panel in my website homepage , when user login it will display welcome xxx you have x new messages


any ides?

Deluxe vB User Log In on non vB Pages may be of use for you. As for the PM thing though this is something your likely going to have to program on your own as I dont recall any such hack existing.
 
well actually if you're writing your script for scratch you will ned knowledge of php and sql right? so actually if it's your own work you can specify for example that x table will extract y column adn display that information actually if you want to create tour own script you can do nearly everything if you know how : D

its quite easy to make the script , BUT the problem ,

Are you familiar with what MD5 encription is basicly it is a 32 bit encoded version of your password ( vBulletin's way of keeping the hackers busy.),

Either way its not a good idea putting non encripted passwords anywhere around your server as its like a keyway for the hackers.

Be sure about what your table prefix is in the database ( some errors may be prompted by overlapping files ) if you experence this problem when coding this change you database prefix in the config files.

Be sure about what your making and its purpose:
  • Design a few plans then draw up your final drawing.

If you already have these final plans you could upload them to varouis forums for support i.e here and there.
