I am doing all kind of seo activities for my site.i have lots of visitors also but the conversion rate is very low...so why is it so? how can i improve the conversion rate ?

1. Your website don't have good content
2. bad website structure
3. Lack of proper navigation
4. No call to action
Re-analyse your website and make it more user friendly, provide fresh and good content and optimize your landing pages. Rewrite your content, update useful information. Customer will appreciate your site and maybe can increase your CV If you don't mind me asking what is your conversion rate? I think the average on the web is around 1-2%, well that's what I remember reading. And what is your bounce rate?
Is it that your website is actually optimised for the wrong keyword so Google is ranking you highly but in the wrong place. This is often caused by errors in on-page SEO. make your site even more quality than before and make a call to action statement. I think the problem is inaccurate descriptions of products or services you offer. Maybe I should rewrite some of the content of the page and see what the outcome. If the situation is the same, try to write completely new content. conversion rate..i think u mean have low cpc or soemthing....i think u shud give the visitors less options to click, i made this mistake of having so many links on the page but i plan to change my site strcture soon but obviously content shud be gud
You may want to change the way you write. Also, if you are getting a lot of visitors that are looking for information, they are harder to convert. Try using buyer's keyword and do some keyword research so you can get buyers to your site instead of information looker. Who told you only SEO is enough for business your products and services are also a big matter for conversion rate, Think if you don't provide affordable services or product from your site they can people went for your services I think that you should go for the Heatmap analysis first than you should go for the A-B testing even still doesn't get succeed than try multivariant testing. Thanks in advance. My question is - if you don't know the feedback for your website, if you don't know how good is good, how bad is bad is your website, how can you make your site from low to high conversion rate.
First, setting up goal in google analytics, read the report, analyze keywords, sometimes, it may not your websites problem, it may be you choose the wrong keywords.
Second, go for Heatmap from Crazyegg, you have to check how people click and view your sites. If people don't click on what you want them to click, you have to restructure your site.
Third, as neo127 said, do A/B testing
the most important thing is, you need feedback for what you have done. Conversion rate is only one feedback. And it is not accurate to depend on only one feedback.
